1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how My SheetAgent ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you install or use our Google Sheets add-on.

2. Data Controller

The data controller is the developer reachable at https://mysheetagent.com/support.

3. Information We Collect

  • User Email: The email address associated with the Google account that installs the Add-on.

  • Spreadsheet Metadata: If you designate a header row, we may store its values to streamline AI prompts.

  • Selection Range: The A1-notation (e.g., "A3:C10") of the active range you select when issuing commands.

  • User Prompts: The natural-language prompts you send to the Add-on, stored to improve response relevance and overall user experience.

  • Operational Data: Minimal state stored in Apps Script storage for app functionality.

4. How We Use Your Data

  • Core Functionality: To execute your natural-language commands against the correct spreadsheet and cells.

  • Prompt Enhancement: To improve AI prompt context and accuracy.

5. Data Storage and Retention

All data is stored on our VPS. We retain your email and any metadata indefinitely, unless you request deletion.

6. Data Sharing

We do not share your data with partners. We send only the information you explicitly submit (commands, selected range, optional header) to the AI model (currently Gemini, via our VPS). Google Analytics may be used within the Add-on to collect anonymized usage data for the purpose of improving functionality and user experience. Analytics is also used on our public website.

7. Security Measures

Passwords and sensitive credentials are encrypted at rest. Regular backups of VPS data are conducted.

8. Your Rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting support at https://mysheetagent.com/support. Upon verified request, we will delete your data and disable your account.

9. Cookies and Local Storage

The Add-on uses Google Apps Script’s built-in storage for operational data. We do not use browser cookies within the Sheets UI.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may amend this Privacy Policy; we’ll post updates here with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

11. Use of Google Workspace APIs

My SheetAgent does not use any data obtained from Google Workspace APIs—including but not limited to Google Sheets API—for the purpose of developing, improving, or training generalized artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) models. All access and use of Google user data is strictly limited to providing and improving the direct functionality of the Add-on, in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy.
